These 6 tips will help you have the best hair and makeup trial, ever!
Bring your everyday basics with you!
If you wear the same shade of foundation or blush and have for years, bring them with you! Not only will your stylist have a good base to start with for color matching, but they'll have a better idea of what types of products work well on your skin.
Come with ideas!
A few of them is always best. So get on that Pinterest board! Once you share your vision, your stylist will help you choose which aspects of different looks you like and show you how to customize them to your own unique style.
Know what you DON'T like!
If you hate wearing your hair up, having a professional do it for you probably isn't going to change that. So don't be afraid to let your stylist know what you're NOT into as well. Open communication up front will help you avoid a disappointing trial and save you both time.
Bring a friend!
Is your maid of honor a beauty guru? Bring her along! A trusted friend who knows your style can be a big help in deciding how to wear your hair and face on your big day. Just make sure you share your vision with her beforehand and remember that the most important thing is how YOU feel.
If you have embellishments, bring them!
Are you wearing extensions, a tiara or veil on your wedding day? Bring them to the trial if at all possible. Testing your look with all of the added embellishments is the only surefire way to know how your look will turn out on the big day. And you'll be able to test your endurance for all of those bobby pins!
Give them a blank canvas!
This might seem like a no-brainer, but make sure you show up to your trail with clean, dry hair and no makeup. If you wear your makeup a specific way every day and want to achieve a similar look with a little "oomph" added, just bring a selfie for comparison.
